Holyrood RCMP Ticket Seven Drivers In One Day For Cellphone Use

Over the course of yesterday, Holyrood RCMP charged seven drivers for using their cell phones while driving.

Cellphone use while driving impairs the drivers’ judgment, and the RCMP says those who use handheld devices while driving are four times more likely to get into serious crashes.

A recent poll conducted by Travelers Canada showed 37 per cent of drivers admitted to using phones while driving, 14 per cent in work related calls.
