December 5th, 2018

More warnings and recalls regarding listeria-contaminated store-bought vegetables.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Eat Smart’s ‘Salad Shake Ups – Sweet Kale’ should be immediately returned or thrown away.

Of particular concern are 156-gram packages with the best before date of December 3rd.

So far there have been no cases of illness, however the Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, and may extend the recall to include other products.

Symptoms of listeriosis can include vomiting, persistent fever, muscle aches and severe headache.
